What is the web service URL?
11/1/2012If you create your own search page or use SiteSeeker for EPiServer or SiteVision, you need to specify a web service URL.
Search pages uses web services to communicate with SiteSeeker, and the connection is defined by the web service URL – the search page does not function without it.
You will find the Web Service URL in SiteSeeker Admin. Proceed as follows:
- Login to SiteSeeker Admin, and open the search index (client) to be used for the search page
- You will find the web service URL in the bottom right corner of the page, in the footer.
Note that the web service is not active until after the first indexing has been performed
